Marcy finds great satisfaction in hand building roosters and chickens in both decorative and functional designs. Each one offers the opportunity for infusing unique characteristics by small changes in form and/or glaze. Besides roosters Marcy enjoys creating peacocks, angels and ikebana leaf forms. Marcy is a founding member of Cary Clay Coop and has been working on pottery at Jordan Hall for six years. She has the goal of practicing more on the wheel in the future and experimenting with a variety of glaze techniques. Marcy’s work is featured at Knockabout in the City Market area of downtown Raleigh.
